![]() ![]() ![]() They are definitely asking something more or different of me feet/gait, I don't know exactly what that is yet, but I don't get that in different brands. They're not wide like Soft Star at all, they are not cushiony or wide through the midfoot/heel like Altras, they kind of fit like a slightly more form fitting Vivo Primus Lite, but heavier and more sturdy. The limitation for me was always forefoot volume, not width. Even within a single line, Freet or Vivo, where before only a couple shoes worked, now most models fit ok. While a few years ago I could only fit comfortably into a couple shoes, now I'm finding I can fit in so many more. This had prevented me from using them much to date because my feet have been coming off serious injury for a few years, and over time as function/strength got better and better, the size of my midfoot and forefoot have continued to reduce. While the toebox is wide, the fit is not particularly high volume in the forefoot/midfoot. I'd expected to wear without insoles, but I don't think its designed for that, its not comfortable for me that way. They included 2 different insoles that change groundfeel a bit, one some special plastic they claim has a special bouncy property (?) and then a standard thin cushion one. Sole is a bit less flexible than I'd expected, but that may break in over time, I haven't worn them enough to know yet. I have the Nimble Toes, they're pretty nice, very well made I'd say. Most here use minimalist shoes and recommend them as excellent tools especially for winter or very rough conditions.
